This page will display recent work in the printmaking discipline. I explore mediums ranging from etching to linocut, but my current passion is monotype and monoprint. Monotype is a form of printing that has been used by artists since the time of Rembrandt. It is really just another way to paint, but instead of painting onto canvas or paper I use graphic ink on lucite plates to develop the initial image. Sometimes I use more than one plate for added color and effect. A variety of tools and techniques are used to manipulate the ink until I am satisfied with the result. The inked plates are then printed on archival paper on an etching press for the final single image.Unless otherwise noted, the pieces are for sale. Please contact me for pricing.
